I am not sure how to put the greatness of this video into words.  I think it will touch everyone in a special way as we can all relate to the thing that brings us all together…Facebook.  Enjoy.

Smashing Magazine has a great, and quite short article about some pretty common ways that designers are lazy in day to day practices.  This is one of those things that I stress to other people when I am working with them.  I may sound like a nag, but it is crucial to having an organized project environment.  

This short list of practices needs to become habit for all designers…period. They are a great way to be more efficient with projects, as well as just stay sane, as you juggle so many different things.  I know I love it when I have a Photoshop file with roughly a half million layers, and I can’t remember where I put a certain element.  That is my favorite.  

Solution:  Label your dang layers!

That is just one of the great items on the list, but I think that might be my favorite.  This is not rocket science.  Just a simple practice that makes the grass greener and keeps the sky blue as well [at least in designer land].

The olympics is truly a place where the world can bring it’s many different interests together to compete.  A prime example of that is Badminton.  I honestly am not sure how this little backyard game got it’s start as an Olympic sport, but these guys are really good.  

Who would have thought these 4 individuals would quit their day jobs to pursue an Olympic medal in badminton?

I typically don’t talk a whole lot about video game related items on my site, but today I have to make an exception.  I am a huge fan of puzzle games, as well as a huge fan of platform games, and I think I have just found the perfect game that melds those two game types together flawlessly.

Braid is a game that takes my love for those genres and throws them in a gaming blender and mixes them all together.  I am not going to review this game as that takes far too much time, but I do want people that have an Xbox 360 to at least go download the demo for this game from Xbox Live and check it out.   

Braid is certainly not for everyone, but if you want a really challenging platform game and puzzle experience, then you will not be disappointed by this little gem.  Did I mention it has a beautiful art style?  Go check it out…

Wordpress 2.6 has been out for a little bit, so I finally took some time to check out the updates and changes.  If no one has told you yet, it is awesome!  They have really put together a nice release.  They keep adding all the stuff you want, and nothing that you don’t.
