Flickr Finds — The Library of Congress

Another day on Flickr, and yet again another cool account to check out. Apparently the Library of Congress has some photography on Flickr. You can browse through 173 pages of old photographs from many different events in the history of America. I am not sure how this is really relevant to anything related to design, but it sure is a cool thing to be able to check out where we have been in the past. I guess I am just a bit of a nerd when it comes to things historically related. Enjoy the pictures…

Hugo* Photo Just another day on another Flickr adventure. I came across some fantastic photography by Hugo*. This is a great collection of shots from all over the world. The one thing that really stands out to me is the amazing way that Hugo* captures people in their surroundings. You truly feel the emotion of every shot in this collection. The emotions are all over the board, so it is a real joy moving from one photo to the next.

You may want to clear out an entire afternoon to check these out, as there are well over 150 pages in this gallery. It’s well worth taking the time to see them all, as you will have the opportunity travel the world through Hugo*s camera lense.

Check it out here.

infamecless collage

Some people like to kill time online playing Scrabulous[don't kid yourself, I do too], but I find myself spending a lot of time on Flickr just rummaging through other peoples’ lives by way of their photographs. I just happened to run across this particular profile created by infamecless’ that had some great collage work.

Most of infamecless’ work seems to be done by hand and then photographed. His style is very apparent in his pieces, as he pulls so many different elements together to create quite intricate projects. I enjoyed digging through his pieces, and I think it is definitely worth checking out. It is great inspiration, and quite mind bending trying to figure out the meanings behind some of his work.

Check it out here.
