Songza | Super Cool Web App

So what is really so great about Songza?  Let me tell you…

I seem to find myself on this site checking out all sorts of different artists.  I guess you should probably be doing the same, as this might be one my favorite sites to hit the net in a very long while.  This is up there with hulu.com in my book.  Here is one great little gem I found on there recently.  It is one my favorite songs of the moment, so you can take a second to check it out or just head over to songza.com yourself and find your own musical treasures.

Did I mention that you can embed songs into your site? Cool, eh?

The Adventures of Pete & Pete

I was sitting around the other day when my brother hit me with a random Google Video link over IM.  Low and behold, it was one of the shows that helped define my younger years.  One of the strangest, yet addictive shows that ever aired on television; The Adventures of Pete & Pete.

I know this link made me quite happy, so I have to share it with everyone else.  There are several episodes to watch on here, so be sure to take in all the old school Nickelodeon goodness.

I believe you can also download them for iPod viewing as well, if that is something you would like to do.  Either way, just take them all in!

Traveling Dancer…Literally

Here is a guy named Matt.  He likes to travel.  Matt also likes to dance.  This is what you get when you combine those two things.  This really made me smile.  Enjoy.

Nokia & Market Research | A+

Design, Neato No Comments »

As a guy who has a degree in Industrial Design, I really love to come across really cool ways that companies do market research.  Even though I took the graphic/web design road after college, I never have gotten over all the cool aspects of really well done product development and design.

In this case, Nokia has really done what I think would be an incredibly fun project to help understand their product end users on a very global scale.  They had people from around the world develop phone concepts that fit their personal needs [below- the foot phone?  I am not too sure how that ties in, but whatever].

Business Week put together a nice article to highlight some of this project that Nokia has been working on, and it is not only a fun read, but really pretty fascinating to see how people from all over think about the way they use a product — in this case a cell phone.

Check out the excerpt below to get an idea of how things all came together or just click over the article to see the full thing, but don’t miss this.  This is very cool.  Enjoy this small sample of the many sketches that are in the full article.
