Songza | Super Cool Web App

So what is really so great about Songza?  Let me tell you…

I seem to find myself on this site checking out all sorts of different artists.  I guess you should probably be doing the same, as this might be one my favorite sites to hit the net in a very long while.  This is up there with hulu.com in my book.  Here is one great little gem I found on there recently.  It is one my favorite songs of the moment, so you can take a second to check it out or just head over to songza.com yourself and find your own musical treasures.

Did I mention that you can embed songs into your site? Cool, eh?

Currently Listening | Your Vegas

With my current track record of keeping the content rolling, this could in fact be my post of the month.  Not so much because of quality, but more along the lines of being the only post!  Ha.  Let’s pretend that is not true, and just blame the lack of new content on “busy-ness”.

Anyways, here is a band that I am loving right now.  They are called Your Vegas.  As my brother put it, “they sounds kind of like what you would get if you put Jimmy Eat World and Coldplay into a blender” [minus the cuts and bruises].

Check out this little acoustic offering and then check out there full album on iTunes.  It is just dandy [and only $6.99].  Enjoy.

Hospital MusicThis album has consumed pretty much every second of my iPod time recently. This is a very cool album by one of my favorite artists. Matthew Good has been around for a while, but he just seems to get better and better as he puts more stuff out. He is not huge on the scene these days, but if you look hard enough, you might find him around the country touring a bit. I am still trying to see a show. I hear they are great!

Just take a second and go check out some of his other tunes, as they are all great, but definitely check out Hospital Music.

Feel Good Green Screen

This is a great example of well thought out creativity mixed with green screens and some after effects expertise. The song [Naive New Beaters - "Live Good"] is alright, but nothing to write home about. The video on the other hand has a very cool vibe to it, and has a sort of home-made charm about it, while still showing off some cool camera work. Enjoy.

The Sixty One

Let us pretend that the guys over at digg.com decided to create a website that was very similar in purpose and function, except it is geared 100% toward music. Well, its not done by the digg guys, but thesixtyone.com is a great new music community that is geared towards promoting up and coming artists as well as a few artists you have seen around before.
